Shanghai Proton

Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center (SPHIC) is a premier medical facility in China specializing in advanced radiotherapy for cancer treatment. It is the first center in China, and one of the few globally, to offer both proton and carbon-ion beam therapies, which allow for highly precise targeting of tumors while minimizing damage to surrounding healthy tissue. The center operates as a clinical, research, and training hub, focusing on complex cases such as head and neck, thoracic, and abdominal malignancies. SPHIC is affiliated with the Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center and represents a significant investment in high-end medical technology within the Yangtze River Delta region.
