Shanghai Ziyuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., established in 1987, was a specialized pharmaceutical manufacturer and a subsidiary of Shanghai Pharmaceuticals Holding Co., Ltd. based in Shanghai, China. The company primarily focused on the production of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediates, with a portfolio spanning cardiovascular, neurological, and respiratory therapeutic areas. Key products included Dobutamine Hydrochloride and Fosphenytoin Sodium, both of which achieved US FDA certification for export to international markets. The company operated a GMP-certified facility and provided services such as custom synthesis and regulatory support to the global pharmaceutical industry. However, according to the 2024 Sustainability Report of its parent company published in April 2025, Shanghai Ziyuan Pharmaceutical has ceased its activities entirely.
