ShareForCures

ShareForCures is a U.S. healthcare nonprofit and patient-data platform focused on accelerating medical research by enabling individuals to share their health information for research use. In its current form, the initiative is primarily presented as Susan G. Komen's breast cancer research registry, which connects qualified researchers with clinical, genomic and patient-reported data from people who have or have had breast cancer. Historically, SHARE For Cures also described itself as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit building the SHARE (System for Health And Research data Exchange) platform to help patients aggregate and contribute health data. The organization operates more like a disease-focused data and research infrastructure provider than a therapeutic drug developer, so it does not have a traditional drug pipeline. Its value proposition is improving research participation, representation and data access in breast cancer research.
