Sichuan Cord Blood Bank

Sichuan Cord Blood Bank (SCCBB) is one of the seven licensed cord blood banking operators in China, established in 1999 and based in Chengdu. It provides both public and private cord blood banking services, including the collection, laboratory testing, processing, and long-term cryopreservation of hematopoietic stem cells. The facility operates an 11,000-square-meter laboratory and has stored over 80,000 cord blood units, facilitating hundreds of successful transplants for various hematological and immune disorders. Beyond storage, the organization collaborates with academic institutions like West China Hospital on advanced cell therapies, including cord blood-derived natural killer (NK) cell research. SCCBB serves as a critical biological resource center for Western China, supporting both clinical applications and regenerative medicine research.
