Company intelligence / Profile preview
SightLife was a U.S.-based nonprofit eye bank and global health organization focused on eliminating corneal blindness through cornea donation, tissue recovery, evaluation, processing, distribution, transplant support, research, and education. Originating from the Northwest Lions Eye Bank and later rebranded as SightLife, it became one of the leading providers of donor corneal tissue in the United States and also supported eye banking and cornea-care capacity building internationally. Its business was service-based rather than drug-development based, centered on ocular tissue banking and transplant enablement rather than therapeutics R&D. In August 2022, SightLife was acquired by Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research. In May 2023, the combined organization began operating under the new name Lions World Vision Institute.
