Sightline Technologies was an Israeli medical device company that developed innovative endoscopy systems for gastrointestinal applications. The company's flagship technology featured a self-propelling, flexible colonoscope designed to navigate the colon more efficiently and with less patient discomfort than traditional methods. This system utilized a disposable sleeve to minimize the risk of cross-contamination and reduce the time required for instrument sterilization. In 2006, the company was acquired by Stryker Corporation for approximately $140 million, including milestone payments. The acquisition allowed Stryker to integrate Sightline's advanced visualization and propulsion technologies into its endoscopy business unit.
