Company intelligence / Profile preview
Silverskate Bio is an Israel-based preclinical biotechnology company focused on developing novel small molecule therapeutics for autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. The company's lead candidate, GT-73, is a first-in-class small molecule that covalently binds to the active form of PECAM-1 (CD31), a key regulator of leukocyte penetration through the endothelial barrier. By inhibiting leukocyte transendothelial migration, GT-73 prevents the accumulation of white blood cells in damaged tissues without causing acute or chronic toxicity. Silverskate Bio was founded in 2022 based on licensed technology from Bar-Ilan University and has secured seed funding, including a $2.5 million investment from Japanese pharmaceutical company Maruho.
