Sime Darby Bioganics

Sime Darby Bioganics was a specialized biotechnology subsidiary of the Sime Darby Group, a major Malaysian conglomerate, focused on the extraction and commercialization of high-value phytonutrients from palm oil. The company was a pioneer in the production of tocotrienols, a potent form of Vitamin E, and mixed carotenoids, marketed under the brand names Gold Tri.E and Caromix. These products were developed using proprietary molecular distillation technology to serve the global pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, and functional food sectors. Sime Darby Bioganics actively supported clinical research into the benefits of tocotrienols for cardiovascular health, neuroprotection, and liver health. Following a corporate restructuring in 2017, the company's operations were integrated into Sime Darby Oils, specifically within its Nutrition division, where it continues to operate as a leader in palm-based bioactives.
