Singapore–Shanghai Medical Innovation Centre

The Singapore–Shanghai Medical Innovation Centre (SSMIC) is a strategic collaborative hub established to facilitate cross-border innovation and market entry for healthcare and life sciences companies between Singapore and China. Launched in 2024 under the auspices of the Shanghai-Singapore Comprehensive Cooperation Council (SSCCC), the center is situated in the Lingang Special Area of the Shanghai Pilot Free Trade Zone. It serves as a landing pad for Singaporean medtech and biotech firms, providing them with regulatory guidance, clinical trial support, and access to the Chinese manufacturing ecosystem. Conversely, the center assists Chinese enterprises in leveraging Singapore as a gateway to Southeast Asian markets. SSMIC is a joint initiative supported by Enterprise Singapore and the Shanghai Lingang Group.
