Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sitka Health Fund VCT was a specialized UK Venture Capital Trust (VCT) focused on the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Established in 2000 by Gerard Tardy, it was the first VCT in the United Kingdom to dedicate its investment strategy exclusively to healthcare-related opportunities. The fund's portfolio included early-stage companies in biotechnology, medical technology, and healthcare services, such as BioVex, Amura, and Eyebright. In 2005, the fund was acquired by Noble Fund Managers and rebranded as Noble Health Fund VCT, later becoming ProVen Health VCT. In 2013, it was merged into the ProVen Growth & Income VCT PLC, which continues to be managed by Beringea. Throughout its history, the fund played a significant role in providing venture capital to the UK's emerging life sciences ecosystem.
