SITS Network

SITS International is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving stroke care and outcomes globally through clinical registries and research. Founded at the Karolinska Institutet, the network maintains the SITS Quality Registry (SITS-QR), one of the world's largest clinical registries for stroke treatments. The organization initially focused on monitoring the safety of thrombolysis but has since expanded to include thrombectomy and other acute stroke interventions. By providing a platform for standardized data collection, SITS enables hospitals to benchmark their performance and participate in international research. The network's data has been instrumental in shaping clinical guidelines and proving the real-world safety of various stroke therapies.
