SK-RIT

SK-RIT (SK-RNA Interference Technology) was a specialized biotechnology subsidiary of SK Biopharmaceuticals, established to focus on the development of RNA interference (RNAi) therapeutics. Founded in 2007 and based in Fairfield, New Jersey, the company aimed to leverage its proprietary RNAi platform to target various diseases, including cancer and infectious conditions. SK-RIT operated as a research-intensive unit, focusing on the design and delivery of small interfering RNA (siRNA) molecules. However, the entity was eventually consolidated into SK Biopharmaceuticals' broader operations as part of a strategic reorganization of SK Group's life science division. Its research and development efforts contributed to the foundational RNAi capabilities within the SK Biopharmaceuticals portfolio.
