Skolar was a medical informatics company that developed a comprehensive clinical knowledge system designed to provide physicians with rapid access to evidence-based medical information at the point of care. Originally a spin-off from Stanford University's School of Medicine, the platform integrated multiple medical textbooks, peer-reviewed journals, and drug databases into a unified search interface. The system was specifically engineered to support clinical decision-making and facilitate continuing medical education (CME) for healthcare professionals. Following its acquisition by F.A. Davis in 2005, the technology and content were integrated into broader medical education and reference products.
