Company intelligence / Profile preview
Slanmhor Pharmaceuticals was a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company based in Ireland that specialized in the development of inhaled therapies for respiratory conditions. The company's primary focus was on treating Cystic Fibrosis (CF) by addressing the deficiency of glutathione in the lungs of affected individuals. Its lead candidate was a proprietary inhaled formulation of glutathione intended to restore antioxidant levels, reduce inflammation, and improve overall lung function. Slanmhor progressed its lead program into Phase 2 clinical trials to evaluate safety and efficacy in CF patients. However, the company ceased operations and was officially dissolved in 2015. Despite its closure, Slanmhor's work represented an early effort in the specialty orphan drug space within the Irish biotech ecosystem.
