Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sloning Biotechnology was a German biotechnology company that developed Slonomics, a proprietary technology for automated gene synthesis and the generation of high-quality combinatorial libraries. The Slonomics platform allowed for the precise, codon-by-codon assembly of DNA, which significantly improved the speed and quality of protein engineering and antibody discovery. By providing highly diverse and well-defined libraries, the company supported the optimization of therapeutic proteins and antibodies. In October 2010, Sloning Biotechnology was acquired by MorphoSys for approximately €19 million to integrate its technology into MorphoSys's antibody development pipeline. The technology has since been used to enhance the diversity and quality of next-generation antibody libraries.
