SLUCare Physician Group is the academic medical practice of Saint Louis University, comprising more than 600 healthcare providers across over 50 medical specialties. In 2022, the group was acquired by SSM Health, integrating its academic clinical expertise with SSM Health's community-based healthcare model to form a comprehensive clinical network in the St. Louis region. As the clinical arm of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, SLUCare physicians are involved in advanced medical research, clinical trials, and the education of future healthcare professionals. The group provides highly specialized care in areas such as organ transplantation, oncology, and neurosurgery, and it serves as one of the few NIH-designated vaccine research centers in the United States. SLUCare operates primarily in the St. Louis metropolitan area, providing services at major facilities including SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital.
