Disc Medicine is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery and development of novel therapies for patients with serious hematologic diseases. The company focuses on fundamental biological pathways of red blood cell biology, specifically heme biosynthesis and iron homeostasis. Its lead program, bitopertin, is a first-in-class glycine transporter 1 (GlyT1) inhibitor currently in Phase 3 development for erythropoietic protoporphyria.
