Smith Technologies was a U.S. healthcare technology company focused on pharmacy management software, long-term care pharmacy technology, pharmacy claims and switch infrastructure, and related services for community, institutional, and outpatient pharmacies. The business was formerly a wholly owned subsidiary of J M Smith Corporation and was acquired by Francisco Partners in 2020. Following the transaction, Smith Technologies was rebranded as RedSail Technologies and has continued operating as an active pharmacy software and services business. Its offerings support pharmacy workflow, dispensing, billing, claims processing, patient engagement, and pharma partner connectivity rather than developing therapeutic products.
