Social & Scientific Systems is a health research and public health services company that provides technical, research, program management, clinical research, epidemiology, health policy, and data analytics services rather than developing proprietary therapeutics. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, the company built a long track record supporting U.S. federal health agencies and other healthcare institutions. Its work has included large-scale health data collection and analysis, clinical and biomedical research support, secure IT platforms, and program evaluation. In June 2019, the company was acquired by DLH Holdings and continues to operate as part of DLH's health-focused federal services business.
