In life sciences, the company focuses on membrane-based separations used in bioprocessing and related production workflows rather than developing therapeutics. Solecta historically operated as a private company headquartered in Oceanside, California and built capabilities in membrane chemistry, element design, and manufacturing. In July 2025, Solecta merged with Nanostone Water to form Acuriant Technologies, and it now appears to operate as a brand/sub-organization within that combined company.
