SolMap Pharmaceuticals was a Cambridge-based biotechnology company focused on the discovery of small molecule drugs that modulate protein-protein interactions. The company utilized a proprietary proteomics-based platform to identify and validate novel drug targets across various therapeutic areas, including oncology and inflammation. In 2004, SolMap was acquired by Bristol Myers Squibb to bolster its drug discovery capabilities and gain access to the SolMap technology. The acquisition integrated SolMap's expertise in structural biology and proteomics into BMS's research and development organization. At the time of its acquisition, the company was in the pre-clinical stage of development.
