Company intelligence / Profile preview
Solsys Medical was a US-based regenerative medicine company specializing in advanced biologic and device-based solutions for chronic wound care. Its flagship product was TheraSkin®, a cryopreserved living human split-thickness skin allograft used to treat difficult-to-heal chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers and pressure sores. The company also marketed the patented SMRT-enabled dressing TheraGauze®. In September 2019 it was acquired by Misonix to form their new wound care division—broadening both companies’ reach into the growing market for evidence-backed regenerative therapies targeting complex non-healing wounds. At time of acquisition it had an estimated annual revenue around $32 million with more than fifty employees nationwide.
