Solventum is an independent global healthcare technology leader spun out from 3M in April 2024. It delivers medical devices, health IT solutions, dental products, and advanced purification/filtration systems for biopharmaceutical production. Its portfolio includes wound care devices, infection prevention tools, dental restoration materials used in over two billion procedures worldwide, software deployed in more than three-fourths of U.S. hospitals, and membrane technologies used in over 25 million dialysis treatments annually. The company’s Purification & Filtration business was agreed to be acquired by Thermo Fisher Scientific for $4.1 billion as of February 2025.
