SomPharmaceuticals was a Swiss biopharmaceutical company based at the Biopôle in Epalinges-Lausanne, Switzerland. The company focused on developing novel anti-tumor somatostatin analogue peptide medicines and related diagnostics for rare neuroendocrine diseases with high unmet need. Its lead areas of interest included acromegaly, Cushing's disease, and neuroendocrine tumors, particularly in patients inadequately controlled by currently available somatostatin analogues such as octreotide and lanreotide. SomPharmaceuticals was acquired by Amryt Pharma in 2016 and does not appear to operate today as an independent active company. Through Amryt's later acquisition, the asset lineage ultimately moved under Chiesi Group.
