Company intelligence / Profile preview
SONIRE Therapeutics has developed a next-generation ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) device, "Suizenji," for non-invasive treatment of unresectable pancreatic cancer. The company’s lead program is in Phase II clinical trials in Japan and preparing for U.S. trials. The technology enables precise visualization of cavitation bubbles to improve safety and efficacy, aiming to reduce treatment sessions compared to conventional radiotherapy. Early results suggest significant survival benefit when HIFU is combined with chemotherapy. Suizenji received FDA Breakthrough Device designation in October 2024.
