SoniVie's TIVUS system is an investigational intravascular ultrasound device designed to ablate sympathetic nerves via a minimally invasive procedure. Early clinical studies and a U.S./Israel IDE pilot trial have shown the technology can safely reduce blood pressure in patients with uncontrolled or resistant hypertension. The company has initiated a global pivotal THRIVE study and received three FDA Breakthrough Device Designations. Clinical programs are also underway for pulmonary artery denervation and lung denervation, targeting additional hypertensive disorders.
