Sooam Biotech Research Foundation is a South Korean biotechnology organization specializing in animal cloning and stem cell research. Founded in 2006 by Dr. Hwang Woo-suk, the foundation is most famous for its commercial dog cloning services, which cater to pet owners and government agencies worldwide. Beyond pet cloning, Sooam is deeply involved in the cloning of livestock and the preservation of endangered species through somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) technology.
