South Mississippi AIDS Task Force

South Mississippi AIDS Task Force (SMATF) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community-based organization dedicated to providing comprehensive HIV/AIDS services and prevention education. Established in 1988 and headquartered in Biloxi, Mississippi, the organization serves the six lower counties of the state, including Harrison and Jackson. SMATF's core offerings include permanent and transitional housing for individuals living with HIV, a dedicated food pantry, and free HIV testing through its 'Know Your Status-for-Life' program. The organization also conducts extensive community outreach and virtual educational forums aimed at reducing the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS and promoting preventive behaviors.
