Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center was a prominent 400-bed tertiary care hospital located in Fort Myers, Florida. Established in 1975, the facility provided a wide range of medical services, including advanced cardiac care, neurosurgery, and transplant services. In 2006, the hospital was acquired by Lee Memorial Health System (now Lee Health) from HCA Healthcare as part of a regional consolidation effort. The facility officially closed its doors in 2008, with its services and staff relocated to the newly expanded Gulf Coast Medical Center. The original hospital building was subsequently demolished in 2009.
