Sparta Biomedical is a private orthopedic medical technology company developing cartilage-mimetic implants for osteoarthritis and focal cartilage injury. The company appears to be the same operating business also referred to in databases as Sparta Biopharma, but its current operating name and website branding are Sparta Biomedical. Its lead program is Ormi, a breakthrough-designated knee implant built on the Galene synthetic cartilage platform and designed to treat chondral and osteochondral lesions of the femoral condyle.
