Overview
Spectral Medical is advancing a theranostic approach to endotoxic septic shock. Its EAA is the only FDA-cleared assay for measuring endotoxin in blood. The company’s lead therapeutic program is Toraymyxin, a polymyxin B hemoperfusion column for removing endotoxin from the bloodstream in patients with severe sepsis and septic shock. Toraymyxin has been used globally and is in Phase 3 trials in North America[5][3]. Clinical results have shown safety and efficacy in reducing mortality among high-risk patients.
