Spiran

Spiran AB was a Swedish medical technology company specializing in the development and commercialization of respiratory diagnostic and monitoring devices. The company is best known for its Spiran peak flow meters and spirometry tools designed to assist in the management of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Spiran's products were widely utilized in clinical settings and for home monitoring to track lung function and treatment efficacy. In 2001, the company was acquired by Aerocrine AB, which integrated Spiran's technology into its broader portfolio of airway inflammation monitoring solutions. Following subsequent acquisitions, the legacy of Spiran's technology now resides within the NIOX Group.
