Sportkat was a medical device company specializing in the development and manufacture of balance testing and training systems. The company's flagship technology, the Kinesthetic Ability Trainer (KAT), utilized a pressurized bladder and tilt sensor to provide objective measurements of static and dynamic balance. These systems were widely adopted in sports medicine, physical therapy, and geriatric care to rehabilitate orthopedic injuries and manage neurological conditions. In 2007, Sportkat was acquired by Natus Medical, which integrated the technology into its broader portfolio of diagnostic and therapeutic solutions for the balance and mobility market.
