Company intelligence / Profile preview
St. Vincent Dunn Hospital was a nonprofit critical access hospital in Bedford, Indiana that provided acute care and related healthcare services to residents of Lawrence County and surrounding communities. The facility operated as part of Ascension St. Vincent, the Indiana ministry of Ascension, one of the largest nonprofit Catholic health systems in the United States. Historically, the hospital traced its roots to Lawrence County Hospital and later Dunn Memorial Hospital before operating under the St. Vincent and Ascension brands. The hospital permanently ceased operations on December 16, 2022 after Ascension announced the closure and an unsuccessful search for a buyer. It was a care delivery organization rather than a drug-development biotech or pharmaceutical company, so it did not maintain a therapeutic pipeline in the conventional life sciences sense.
