Company intelligence / Profile preview
Stafford-Miller was a prominent pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare company that operated primarily as a subsidiary of the Block Drug Company. The company was a global leader in oral health, responsible for developing and marketing iconic brands such as Sensodyne, Polident, and Poli-Grip, alongside a portfolio of dermatological treatments like Alphosyl. In 2001, Stafford-Miller's parent company, Block Drug, was acquired by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) for approximately $1.24 billion. Following the acquisition, its operations and brands were integrated into GSK's consumer healthcare division, which later became part of Haleon. While the Stafford-Miller name persists on some legacy product registrations, it no longer functions as an independent commercial entity.
