Company intelligence / Profile preview
Standards Coordinating Body is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization focused on advancing standards for gene, cell, and regenerative medicines, as well as cell-based drug discovery. Rather than developing therapeutic products itself, SCB coordinates stakeholders across industry, academia, government, regulators, and standards development organizations to identify, prioritize, and accelerate standards and best-practice efforts for the field. Its work spans cell therapy, gene therapy, tissue engineering, manufacturing, analytical methods, transport, cryopreservation, and microphysiological systems. SCB also operates the Regenerative Medicine Standards Portal, an interactive database of published standards, in-development standards, and unmet standards needs. The organization plays an enabling infrastructure role for the advanced therapy ecosystem by helping reduce technical and regulatory friction as regenerative medicine products move toward commercialization.
