Station1

Station1 is a U.S.-based nonprofit research and education organization that develops and supports a model it calls directional or socially-directed science and technology. Rather than operating as a biotech or pharmaceutical developer, it focuses on interdisciplinary research, curriculum, fellowships, and ecosystem partnerships intended to shape the social and environmental impacts of science and technology. Its work spans areas such as artificial intelligence, materials science, infrastructure, energy, and selected biotechnology- and health-technology-adjacent projects through partner networks. The organization is best known for programs such as the Station1 Frontiers Fellowship and for collaborating with startups, nonprofits, and corporations on research and innovation initiatives. It should not be characterized as a therapeutic product company with a conventional drug pipeline.
