StemCor Systems was a medical technology company that specialized in developing innovative devices for bone marrow aspiration and stem cell harvesting. Its flagship product, the Marrow-Cor Bone Marrow Aspiration System, was designed to provide a less invasive and more efficient method for obtaining high-quality bone marrow and progenitor cells compared to traditional needles. The technology aimed to improve clinical outcomes in orthopedic, vascular, and cardiac regenerative medicine by ensuring a high concentration of regenerative cells. Founded in 2008 and based in Menlo Park, California, the company was backed by prominent venture capital firms including Kleiner Perkins and IVP.
