STENTYS Paclitaxel-Eluting Stent
Commercial- Indications
- Coronary artery disease
Company intelligence / Profile preview
Stentys developed the world’s first self-apposing coronary stents designed to adapt to vessel size changes after heart attacks or in complex anatomies. Their Self-Apposing® technology aimed to reduce malapposition risk compared to conventional balloon-expandable stents. The company’s flagship products received CE marks for both bare metal and drug-eluting versions targeting acute myocardial infarction and peripheral arterial disease. Clinical trials such as APPOSITION III showed low one-year mortality rates among high-risk AMI patients using their devices compared to conventional options.[5] The company also expanded into below-the-knee applications for critical limb ischemia with strong clinical outcomes preventing amputations.[9]
