Overview
Step Pharma’s lead candidate dencatistat (STP938), a first-in-class selective oral CTPS1 inhibitor, has demonstrated preclinical anti-tumor activity and entered clinical development for relapsed/refractory lymphomas. In September 2024, the first patient was dosed in a Phase I trial targeting solid tumors with an initial focus on ovarian cancer using biomarker-driven patient selection. The approach leverages synthetic lethality in CTPS2-deficient tumors. Early data support the potential of dencatistat as both tumor-type specific and tumor agnostic therapy; no pivotal or late-stage results have been reported yet.
