Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sterilox Food Safety is a provider of automated systems that generate hypochlorous acid (HOCl) on-site for the food retail and service industries. The company's technology, known as electrolyzed water, is used to sanitize fresh produce, floral products, and food contact surfaces to significantly reduce the risk of foodborne illnesses. By effectively eliminating pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, and Listeria, Sterilox systems help retailers extend the shelf life of perishables and ensure consumer safety. The solution is environmentally friendly, non-toxic, and replaces traditional chemical sanitizers. Originally a division of PuriCore, the business was acquired by Cantel Medical in 2016 and is now a part of STERIS following its acquisition of Cantel in 2021.
