Sterling Synergy Systems is a Contract Research Organization (CRO) that provides clinical development and data management services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors. Founded in 2001 and originally based in Mumbai, India, the company specializes in Phase II through Phase IV clinical trials, with a particular emphasis on oncology. It served as the preferred CRO for the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network (ICON), leveraging India's patient population for efficient recruitment. In 2006, the company was acquired by PRA International (now part of ICON plc) to expand its global footprint and establish a strategic presence in the Indian clinical research market. Today, it operates as a subsidiary within the ICON corporate structure, supporting global clinical operations and data management.
