Company intelligence / Profile preview
Stimgenics developed a proprietary spinal cord stimulation waveform called Differential Target Multiplexed Spinal Cord Stimulation (DTM SCS), which modulates both neurons and glial cells to treat chronic pain. Preclinical studies showed statistically significant reversal of pain behaviors compared to traditional low or high frequency stimulation. The company received multiple awards for its research prior to being acquired by Medtronic in January 2020. DTM SCS became part of Medtronic’s Intellis platform for chronic pain management.
