Stokely-Van Camp

Stokely-Van Camp is a legacy U.S. food and beverage company best known historically for canned foods and for commercializing Gatorade. The business became Stokely-Van Camp, Inc. as its official corporate name in 1944 after the earlier Stokely organization acquired Van Camp assets. In 1983, the company was acquired by The Quaker Oats Company, and its ownership later passed to PepsiCo through PepsiCo's 2001 acquisition of Quaker Oats. Today the name appears primarily as a PepsiCo subsidiary/entity associated with beverage operations rather than as an independent biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare company. It is not a life sciences developer and does not have a therapeutic drug pipeline.
