Stressgen Bioreagents was a leading provider of high-quality research reagents, specializing in the fields of cellular stress, heat shock proteins (HSPs), and molecular chaperones. Founded as a division of Stressgen Biotechnologies, the company developed an extensive catalog of antibodies, proteins, and ELISA kits used globally in academic and pharmaceutical research. In 2006, the bioreagents business was acquired by Assay Designs for $16 million, which was subsequently acquired by Enzo Life Sciences in 2009.
