Subimo was a Chicago-based healthcare information technology company that specialized in providing web-based decision support tools for consumers. The company's platform enabled users to compare healthcare providers based on clinical quality, cost, and patient safety data. Subimo's solutions were primarily utilized by large health plans and employers to promote transparency and informed healthcare choices among their members. In December 2006, the company was acquired by WebMD Health Corp. for approximately $60 million. This acquisition allowed WebMD to significantly expand its private portal offerings for the payer and employer markets.
