Sublimed has developed actiTENS, a wearable, smartphone-controlled transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) device for chronic pain management. Clinical studies in knee osteoarthritis patients demonstrated that actiTENS is superior to weak opioids like tramadol or opium powder in reducing pain and improving quality of life. The product is CE-marked, FDA-cleared as of December 2020, reimbursed by French social security, and used by over 15,000 regular users since its market launch in France in 2018.
