Sumilab

Sumilab is a Mexican company based in Culiacán, Sinaloa that specializes in the production and distribution of chemical substances, equipment, and materials for laboratories. It has supplied reagents, filters, laboratory accessories, ovens, microscopes, and other scientific materials primarily to government hospitals and educational institutions in Sinaloa. In May 2023 it was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control due to alleged links with the Sinaloa Cartel—specifically for supplying chemical precursors used in illicit drug manufacturing—which effectively blocks its assets under U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits transactions with U.S. entities.
