Company intelligence / Profile preview
Sunbury Community Hospital was a 122-bed acute care facility located in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, serving the Susquehanna Valley region. The hospital provided a wide array of healthcare services, including emergency medicine, surgical services, diagnostic imaging, and a specialized senior mental health unit. Throughout its history, it operated as a key community employer and primary point of care for local residents. In 2016, the hospital became part of Quorum Health following a spin-off from Community Health Systems. Due to a steady decline in inpatient admissions and the broader industry shift toward outpatient services, the facility officially closed its doors on March 31, 2017. Following the closure, the building was eventually transitioned to accommodate other medical offices and community services.
