Overview
SuperGen was a US-based oncology pharmaceutical company focused on small molecule therapeutics targeting epigenetic regulation and cell signaling pathways. Its most notable product was Dacogen® for AML/MDS. The company developed proprietary technologies such as CLIMB®, acquired Montigen Pharmaceuticals for additional preclinical assets/platforms in 2006, then merged with UK-based Astex Therapeutics Limited in 2011 to form Astex Pharmaceuticals. The combined entity continued developing a robust oncology pipeline before being acquired by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., in October 2013.
